  If you want to go for some tasty dessert in Winnipeg, THIS is the place to go! Their cakes are fantastic!! Especially the Deadly Chocolate Mousse Cake!! Only complaint is they don't take credit cards. But that's ok.

  My first time here and I decided to try the Tia Maria Torte (the one with layered cookies).... this was amazing and delicious. The staff are so friendly and nice, even when it was super busy. Definitely coming back (:

  Gargantuan desserts meet huge taste at Baked Expectations! An easy to miss taste sensation off of Osborne St that never fails to deliver. Having been here numerous times I have yet to manage to walk away with anything less than delight and a full belly. I only wish we had a place like this in Ottawa. I encourage you to visit for the desserts. It will meet all your baked expectations.

  Been buying cake and slices to go here since I was 22 (8 years now). This past weekend was the first time I called to complain.
  
  Once I got home, my 3 cake slices that I ordered were underwhelming. They were the smallest cuts I've had. I'm usually forgiving but for $28 I decided to let them know.
  
  Baked expectations is known for bad service so I didn't expect much. After multiple phone calls - speakerphone with the manager and staff asking if I was this person or that person that complained earlier etc. It was obvious that Baked Expectations got multiple complaints that day (Monday) and they're very disorganised. In the end it wasn't worth it to say anything and staff blame other staff.
  
  The cake earned 5 stars and the service earned -3.

  The desserts here never fail to satisfy. My favorite is the Dark Chocolate Cheesecake.
  Even though we were one of two tables in the restaurant, the service was quite slow.
  Be sure to have lots of time for your visit.
