  A breakfast/brunch must. All things to love about a diner breakfast with a twist. Great Falafel with hummus, potatoe pancakes, corn beef hash. Service is very fast and friendly. Very busy place on weekend mornings, but once you're in, you're served fast and out the door.

  This was my favourite greasy spoon, until I went for dinner one day and saw a table of people all cutting yams and tomatoes. Only one of them appeared to work there, as he would get up frequently to go to the kitchen (At one point shaking the hand of some stranger in the kitchen who did not appear to work there).
  The rest did not look like employees, yet all were touching the food and taking turns at cutting in between checking their phones. The person who did work there touched the bottom of his chair, and his face, multiple times. Never saw anyone wash their hands. The stranger, who was wearing street clothes was in the kitchen making an omelette, touching the cheese and the omelette with his hands. It could have been his omelete, I don't know, but I don't know what he was doing there in the first place.

  My breakfast was going wonderful until they cranked up Careless Whisper by George Michael. Then it increased my breakfast ten fold. Great food, great staff, great environment, great tunes.

  A Winnipeg institution. Crowded, noisy and delicious. The owner will yell at you if you linger and someone else needs the table. Strangely this does not matter so go with the flow and eat fast. Service matches.
  
  Basically this is the best breakfast in the city. Absolutely have hash browns with garlic and onions. Add peppers to anything vegetarian. The namesake Falafel is a great as a side.
  
  Ami is larger than life and makes a point to hire young smart people so they bring the right pushy ethos to the slot.

  Vegetarian hash is delicious and there's so much I can get two meals out of it! Try the marmalade. Just beware of lines on the weekend, this place is justifiably popular and there's only a tiny foyer to wait in.
