  It must be the Winnipegger in me, but there is always something deeply comforting about coming to Salisbury House for a nip and fries in the middle of winter -- or in the middle of the night. This location consistently makes a delicious hamburger: the wonderful crust from the flat top, the grilled onions, the cheese, and the soft steamed bun are all done right. I recommend going on a Tuesday and taking advantage of that days "Twofer" special -- order two or more qualifying menu items and get them all for half price. Last Tuesday I had two cheese nips, fries, and a giant slice of wafer pie all for under $12.

  Since the restaurant renovated the interior and. changed the menus, this has become a great place for a midnight meal. The soup is always good and the food is served hot.

  This place is amazing! The manager and waitresses arrive a delight and they even gave my 3 year old a free Sunday just because of her manners. If this isn't service I don't know what is.
