  Wow - what an experience. Had never been there before but I read the newspaper story about the big burgers etc and decided to go before it closed, as the article had reported. There were us and the two kids plus we picked up my 82 yr old dad along the way who had never been there either. We all live in the south end so this was a trip. Upon walking in the first impression is that you're in somebody's private rec room - with the walls full of personal items and writings, as well as magazines and a TV on a low counter. There were two other customers seated who I sensed were being held against their will - sitting nervously and saying nothing. We filed to the front past the open window to the kitchen while trying to figure out where to sit - and seeing this tall, slim, red-headed "Blondie" in the kitchen, who I gave a smile and a thumbs up to. All 7 or 8 tables are the same - small and square - essentially card tables - and with flimsy folding chairs. Nobody had come out to greet us so I stood in front of our group trying to figure out where the 5 of us should sit. A few minutes later a very sour faced older woman came out of the back and I asked in a light-hearted way - which two tables should we pull together? After giving the strong sense that we were intruding in her space she grumbled something about just putting a fifth chair on the end of one of these little card tables - and then goes into the back again. Clearly that wouldn't work so after 3 awkward minutes of standing there with these other two hostages sitting in fear - I pulled the adjacent table over to form space for 6. We sit down and my wife says something about her little folding chair being broken and slanted toward the floor. I note that mine feels like it may collapse - but I figured I wouldn't bother mentioning either. The witch from the back returns - and storms around the table literally throwing the little menus down in front of each of us. Like slamming them down - and with an angry face. I was waiting for her to make some kind of joke - but it became clear this was very real. She slammed the last one down and then said Unbelievable - clearly referring to the table that I had moved 3 feet to the right. When she stormed back to the kitchen we looked at each other and without saying a word - we just agreed to get up and leave - which we did, after sliding the little table back to where it was. What a bloody joke this place is. These people should not be in business of any type and it is wrong on several levels to patronize such a business. We wouldn't go back if they were giving away free food - it's the people who need to be avoided.

  Amazing food, and great service! Glad we took the server's advice on sharing the poutine and each getting a 1/8lb burger. Any more and we would have burst! And the vanilla milkshake is the best I have ever had. Follow the posted rules and you'll have an amazing experience!

  Homey and quirky with delicious burgers. Not fast food, but definitely worth the wait. The owner does all the cooking herself and she only has one wait staff so if it's busy you'll have to wait. Burgers are huge, juicy and oh so good! Not cheap, but I would eat there again in a heartbeat. Been there twice and hope to go again before it closes (owner has sold the business, but still open as of May 2017).

  1/4 pound burger and fries. Stuffed beyond belief. Worth every some.
